Since the weekend, the market quotation for square and rectangular tubes in Tianjin has seen mixed performance. According to monitoring data from Lange Steel Cloud Business Platform: In terms of raw materials, the average price of 2.5*355mm hot-rolled strip steel is 3,173 yuan, up 32 yuan compared to the previous day. In the narrow strip segment, this morning, strip steel mills in the Tangshan area opened with quotations that erased the weekend gains, falling by 30-40 yuan. After the decline, some improved, clearing daily production, with the current mainstream ex-factory price including tax at 3,110-3,120 yuan. In the wide strip segment, leading steel mills in Hebei Province saw some price increases over the weekend, with some specifications experiencing minor decreases. Currently, Tangshan Ruifeng's 355 series ex-factory price including tax is 3,040 yuan; Hebei Qianjin's 355mm series strip steel ex-factory price including tax is 3,090 yuan. In terms of the market, some regions in East China and South China saw additional price increases of 30-90 yuan, with general transaction volume. In the afternoon, futures prices rose, and manufacturers' confidence improved, with some regional quotations closely following the increase by 30-40 yuan while waiting and seeing. Considering the price hikes and even the emergence of stockpiling manipulation by peripheral billet and coil mills and profile steel mills, the trend of billets has once again become pivotal. It is expected that the prices of some 16mn square and rectangular tubes in Tianjin may stabilize to the stronger side tomorrow.
